My husband recently purchased a brand new, sealed Intel NUK 11th gen from a private seller due to the difficulty of finding stock in Israel. Unfortunately, upon opening the box at the office, we discovered that the nvme socket on the board was broken and loose. We immediately contacted Intel, confident that their advertised 3-year warranty would quickly resolve the issue and provide us with a replacement computer.

However, our experience with Intel's customer service has been frustrating. We have been exchanging messages with Ionut for the past three days. Initially, he informed us that they would not honor the warranty because we couldn't prove that we purchased the device from an official distributor. Later, he informed us that Intel has no stock of this item and could only offer us a refund credit of $422.17. We are unsure of the significance of this figure, but in Israel, the cheapest device available from their "official" distributor is priced over $600.

We have repeatedly emphasized that all we want is a replacement or a refund equivalent to the cost of obtaining a replacement locally, rather than a refund credit from a different country. Unfortunately, our requests seem to have fallen on deaf ears. We have now escalated the matter to a supervisor and will keep you updated on our progress. So far, this has been an appalling experience, one that we did not expect from a global company like Intel.
